The Awards Show is a celebration of the accomplishments of those celebrated artists and those emerging filmmakers that are seeking recognition for their works in the entertainment field.<\/p>\n}

LA Femme recognizes our 2014 honorees, Holly Wiersma<\/strong> (\u201cDallas Buyers Club\u201d) receiving the Executive Achievement Award, Sheryl Lee Ralph(\u201cDreamgirls\u201d) receiving the Lupe Ontiveros Image Award, Madeline Zima <\/strong>(\u201cCalifornication\u201d) receiving the Rising Star Award, Marion Ross<\/strong> (\u201cHappy Days\u201d) receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award,and Moran Atias<\/strong> (\u201cThe Next Three Days\u201d) receiving the Humanitarian Award.<\/p>\n

Holly Wiersma <\/strong>(Executive Achievement Award) began her career as a casting associate on \u201cBlade\u201d and \u201cRainmaker\u201d, but independent filmmaking pulled her toward the new direction of Producing. She is known for \u201cWonderland\u201d, \u201cDown in the Valley\u201d, \u201cBobby\u201d, \u201cFactory Girl\u201d, \u201cStone\u201d, and \u201cThe Son of No One\u201d. \u201cDallas Buyers Club\u201d garnered an Oscar <\/strong>for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Matthew McConaughey.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ms. Wiersma completed \u201cReturn to Sender\u201d a psychological thriller with Nick Nolte<\/strong>, and \u201cShe\u2019s Funny That Way\u201d a comedy with Jennifer Aniston<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sheryl Lee Ralph<\/strong>(Lupe Ontiveros Image Award), originated the role of Deena Jones in \u201cDreamgirls\u201d on Broadway (Tony Nomination<\/strong>and Drama Desk Award Nomination for Best Actress.<\/strong>).Sheryl started off on Broadway but was drawn to features and television where she has had numerous successful projects. Her portrayal of the loving step mom, Dee on the\u00a0groundbreaking series \u201cMoesha\u201d<\/strong> , <\/em>lead her to receive numerous NAACP Image Award nominations<\/strong> and embrace her leadership role as an entertainer, singer, and actress breaking ground against the stereotypical roles for women on television.<\/p>\n

Sheryl Lee is currently starring in the Nickelodeon series \u201cInstant Mom\u201d and can be seen in \u201cRay Donovan\u201d.\u00a0 Sheryl Lee is a health advocate and honored AIDS activist, and the founding director of the DIVA (Divinely Inspired Victoriously Anointed) Foundation 501(C)3 which she created in memory of the many friends she has lost to HIV\/AIDS.<\/p>\n

Marion Ross<\/strong> (Life Time Achievement Award) is an Iconic American actress who has received multiple Emmy nominations for her portrayal of characters on television. She is best known for her role of Marion Cunningham<\/strong> on \u201cHappy days\u201d but she began her career at The Old Globe theatre.<\/p>\n

Marion has acted in films such as: \u201cThe Glenn Miller Story\u201d, \u201cSecret of the Incas\u201d, and \u201cSabrina\u201d. Her TV credits include \u201cFather Knows Best\u201d, \u201cRoute 66\u201d, \u201cThe Outer Limits\u201d, \u201cThe Brady Bunch\u201d, \u201cThe Love Boat\u201d, \u201cNight Court\u201d, \u201cMacguyver\u201d. Marion\u2019s role in \u201cBrooklyn Bridge\u201d as an iron-willed Jewish matriarch garnered her two Emmy nominations.<\/p>\n

Madeline Zima<\/strong> (Rising Star Award) is best known for her breakout role as the provocative and saucy \u201cMia Lewis\u201d on the hit Showtime series, \u201cCalifornication\u201d, but she has starred opposite Ren\u00e9e Zellweger and Forest Whitaker in \u201cMy Own Love Song\u201d for director Olivier Dahan (LA VIE EN ROSE) and \u201cCrazy Eyes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Moran Atias <\/strong>(Humanitarian Award) is an Israeli Actress who is a box office hit in Italy with projects like: \u201cGas\u201d, \u201cOggi Sposi”, and \u201cMother of Tears\u201d. Moran is also a world humanitarian and participated in the Artists for Justice and Peace volunteer mission with\u00a0Sean Penn<\/strong> following the\u00a02010 Haiti earthquake, in which she assisted the evacuation of refugees to Florida.<\/p>\n

Sandra Valls (Top 10 faces to watch in 2010 by Diva Magazine, <\/em>Showtime\u2019s \u201c The Latin Divas of Comedy\u201d) will be Master of Ceremony Musical Artis, Maggie McClure (Recording Artist) will be performing along with the dance group the Show Off Girls<\/strong> choreographed by Nichole Le Shawn Woods.<\/p>\n
