BEVERLY HILLS, CA \u2013 August 16, 2012<\/strong> – LA Femme Film Festival\u2019s Founder, Leslie LaPage<\/strong>, announced that the 8th<\/sup> Annual LA Femme Film Festival 2012,<\/strong> October 11-14, 2012 <\/strong>will be closing its call for entries for the 2012 season.\u00a0 \u201cWe will have some amazing films this year.\u201d said Leslie LaPage<\/strong>, Founder \/ Director of the Festival. \u201cI Forgot Deadline\u201d <\/strong>deadline is August 23.<\/p>\nLA Femme International Film Festival will be hosting a series of industry panels with some amazing sponsors such the Writers Guild of America West (WGA) Surmounting the Odds: Fundraising Triumphs From the Trenches<\/span>: With the ongoing challenges women face in getting their projects financed and off-the-ground, panelists will discuss the innovative and entrepreneurial ways in which they as writers and writer\/directors have successfully funded their films. <\/strong><\/p>\nLA Femme<\/strong> over the last year has worked closely to provide more opportunities for filmmakers to show their work under our entertainment partnerships such as the Documentary Channel which will be viewed by DOC. We are currently working with a new Roku channel to platform our filmmaker\u2019s content\u201d. Said Ms. LaPage<\/p>\nThe festival runs from October 11th<\/sup>-14th, 2012<\/strong> in Los Angeles, CA screening over 100 features, shorts, music videos, commercials, special screenings, seminars, special networking events and a gala Awards Ceremony attended by \u201cA\u201d List celebrities.\u00a0 LA Femme<\/strong> is dedicated to celebrating and empowering female artists creating media for a worldwide audience.
