Born in the small town of Dublin, Georgia, Jhai Norris, the third of six children, turned to music for attention. At 11, she and a friend were featured on the Local T.V. Station. The performance was so good that producers asked for an encore. That was the beginning of the career of this budding star.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jhai kept performing. She did auditions, talent shows, and pageants. She soon won her first showcase: the Atlantic Records Presents\u2026” The Series” Talent showcase. This win led her to her first studio, where she began to record songs for a demo.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the meantime, she landed a role as a graduating senior in the movie <\/span>“Drumline”<\/span><\/strong> starring Nick Cannon. She was also featured in the film “<\/span>Made for Each Other<\/span><\/strong>“, starring Dan and Chris Masterson, and as a dancer in the blockbuster hit “<\/span>Step up 2: the Streets.”<\/span><\/strong> She was cast in the popular play “For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When the Rainbow wasn’t enuf” as Lady in Yellow for the University of the District of Columbia Theater Program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Standing nearly 5’9″ at a slim 125lbs, she was invited to model for an Atlanta-based Hair Magazine, Metro Style, for modelling agency Javier Modeling in Washington DC and for Baltimore-based photographers Moe’s Art and Design. She even landed on the final audition callback list for Victoria’s Secret’s Annual Fashion Show in 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jhai performed a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner in front of 20,000 <\/span>NBA Washington<\/span><\/strong> Wizards fans. She was invited back to sing for the Washington Wizards in 2011 and asked to sing for the Washington Mystics in 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2010, she released her debut, P.S.A. the Mixtape, featuring D.C.’s <\/span>HOT95.5 radio<\/span><\/strong> personality DJ Chris Styles. It received rave reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is now gearing up to release her first studio album, “Middle Child Syndrome.”\u00a0 The first single of the album, entitled “Another Knotch”, is scheduled to be released soon. “<\/span><\/p>\n
