Cynthia Riddle (Moderator)

CYNTHIA RIDDLE has written film/TV projects for CBS, Hallmark Hall of Fame, Lifetime, Showtime, MGM, Starz, Netflix, Disney, Nickelodeon, PBS, and MarVista. She has two feature films heading into production —Curtains (a WGA Feature Writer Access Project honoree) to be produced by the Academy Award nominated producer of Dallas Buyers Club and filmed in Paris, and true crime drama Black Widow she wrote/is Exec Producing for Lifetime. Cynthia’s original pilot Blood Brothers was Top 20 in AMC/Austin Film festival’s screenwriting competition (out of 9,100 entries), as well as a Finalist in the Sundance Episodic Story Lab. Cynthia has produced award-winning short films that won/were finalists in Project Greenlight and the Coca Cola Refreshing Filmmakers Award. She has an MFA in Screenwriting/

Amy Holden Jones 

Amy Holden Jones created the show “Black Box†for ABC and “The Resident” for Fox.  She has written pilots for every major broadcast and cable network. Prior to working in television, she was an acclaimed screenwriter. Among her screenplay credits are “Mystic Pizza,†“Indecent Proposal,†“Beethoven,†“The Getaway,” and “The Relic.â€Â She began her career as an editor for directors Joe Dante, Martin Scorsese and Hal Ashby. She then wrote and directed four features, including “Love Letters†with Jamie Lee Curtis, cult classic “Slumber Party Massacre,” “Maid to Order†starring Ally Sheedy, and “The Rich Man’s Wife,†starring Halle Berry and Clive Owen. 

Jones graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College and simultaneously studied film at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her documentary, “A Weekend Home,†won the AFI National Student Film festival. She has been a board member of the Writers Guild of America West and the Writers Guild of America Foundation. She also is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

She resides in Los Angeles with her husband, cinematographer Michael Chapman, and has two children, Emma and Patrick. 

Felischa Marye

Felischa Marye, sold her first comedy pilot, “Good Girls Gone†to HBO while still in film school in 2013, and developed that pilot with Harpo Studios as producers. She later got staffed on the hit Netflix series “13 Reasons Why,†and recently completed the third season which will be released later in 2019. In 2017, Felischa worked on the writing staff in a mini-writers room for a Jill Soloway/Channing Tatum Amazon TV drama series, “College.†Felischa currently resides in Los Angeles, and is proud to have made LA her home.

 

 

 

Kit Steinkellner

Kit Steinkellner is a film and television writer best known as  creator/showrunner of the Facebook Watch half-hour series SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.  SFYL premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was named one of the “10 Best New Shows of 2018” by the New York Times and was similarly heralded on “Best of the Year” lists published by New York Magazine, The Atlantic, The Hollywood Reporter, Time, Forbes, Vox, Thrillist, The Verge, and Adweek. As a television writer, she has also written/developed for Amazon, Showtime, and FX, and as a screenwriter for Lionsgate and Netflix.

 

 

 

Corinne Kingsbury

Corinne Kingsbury is the creator and showrunner of The CW’s “In The Dark,†which began shooting Season 2 in August 2019. Additionally, Corinne created and ran the CBS show “Fam,†which premiered on January 10, 2019.

Earlier in her career, Kingsbury wrote for Aaron Sorkin’s “The Newsroom†on HBO. Her additional credits include “Sin City Saints†and “Back In The Gameâ€.

On the feature side, Kingsbury rewrote “The Lovebirdsâ€, starring Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae, and directed by Michael Showalter, for Paramount. Additionally, she has feature script “Blue Flame†set to be produced and directed by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley (“Game Nightâ€), as well as “31 Days of Larry†at Lionsgate.

Corinne resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son.

Evette Vargas

Evette Vargas is an award-winning writer, director, producer and immersive storyteller. Named by the New York Times as an “Artist to Watch,†Vargas’ has produced series for Amazon, MTV, Bravo, DirectTV; and interactive content for Fast And Furious, Lord Of The Rings trilogy and Madonna. Vargas executive produced, wrote and directed her digital series Dark Prophet, starring Henry Rollins, which was in contention for two Emmys. Vargas sold her drama series, Muses, to TNT Super Deluxe. Vargas is creating a drama series for MGMTV with Marc Guggenheim and Rosario Dawson serving as executive producers. Vargas wrote The Current War VR Experience, a companion piece for the film, starring Benedict Cumberbatch. A proud member of the WGA, ATAS and PGA, Vargas was born in the Bronx and learned to tell stories at the dinner table where the imagination ruled. Vargas collects action figures, typewriters and shoes; has past lives as a DJ, a fashion designer and is a recovering New York City advertising Art Director.
